Animal Kingdom

We were up at 6:30 and grabbed a snack for breakfast. We were at the Animal Kingdom Park by 8:30 a.m. The weather was wonderful. We were first in the park and headed to Everest Expedition. Bernard and Kim declined the ride but the rest of it went right on. Tate just loved it and Sarah was terrified. She does not like darkness or going backwards and I cannot say that I blame her for that. It does not appeal to me either. Although it was spring break for several states we were amazed that we never had long waits for any of the rides or shows. It was wonderful and we did everything we wanted to do that day.

We discovered all these pins and Bernard bought his first one at that park.

We then headed over to Fort Wilderness Campground to see the kids. They had already set up everything and the go-cart had been delivered. The grandchildren were watching movies. We visited there for awhile and then went to eat at Trails End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness. It was a buffet and not the best but we enjoyed it anyway. After dinner, we decided that a Walmart run was needed so we piled into Hank's truck and off we went. We dropped our luggage off at the resort and then on to Walmart. It was a HUGE Walmart. Probably the largest I have ever been in. We found autograph books there and also got the kids some disney caps to wear.

We arrived at Pop Century around noon and checked right in. I got a picture of Joyce and Bernard inspecting our rooms and also one of the pools. We just looked around briefly and then got something to eat. After lunch, we took the bus to Downtown Disney to look around. I got a Scrapbook and also purchased better ponchos since it was raining pretty hard at the time.

We arrived at the airport in Orlando about 20 minutes late due to the weather but had no problems getting through airport and down to the Disney Magic Express. Hank and Kim took our luggage with them so we did not have to worry about picking up luggage in the baggage area. We were soon on the bus going to our resort at WDW

Disney Trip

We just got back from our trip to WDW. It was a great trip and I am posting pictures and a brief review of the trip.

Friday, Mar 12, Joyce, Bernard and I headed to the airport at 6:00 am to board Southwest. It was raining hard and had been for 24 hours so I was a little concerned about the flight and thunderstorms.
